This batch of spirit originally filled into a Cooper’s Select barrel (light toast/heavy char) and transferred into an undoubtedly rich, but somewhat unknown fortified wine cask.
Pineau des Charentes comes from a region that includes Cognac, and is produced from the same grape varieties as the famous brandy. The production process of Pineau des Charentes involves adding eau-de-vie to grape must and maturing. The Pineau influence showcases an atmospheric floral sweetness on our familiar base spirit.
