Introducing Kapri Robinson, a 2024 member of the Westland Cocktail Collective. Robinson started at bars in her hometown of Washington DC when she was just 21 years old, and has blossomed as an industry star in the years following as she built her career. From being cast a role in Netflix’s Drinkmasters to starting her own National Cocktail Competition rooted in advocacy to most recently being awarded US Bartender of the Year, Robinson is one to watch in the cocktail industry.

In the long days of the Pacific Northwest summer, Westland gathered seven visionary bartenders for the inaugural meeting of the Westland Cocktail Collective. Each member is a prominent bartender from one of the country’s most innovative cocktail bars, and they came together for three days at the edge of the world to share adventure, stories, ideas, recipes, and, of course, delicious cocktails.
In Westland’s ongoing pursuit of flavor, whiskey is only part of the story. Exploring the artisan cocktail is its own exciting frontier, where curious, passionate people use whiskey to push boundaries, challenge assumptions and traditions, and elevate the cocktail to new levels of craft and sophistication.
Westland is rooted in the principle that whiskey is fundamentally an expression of place. If pursued with integrity and the thoughtful intention to seek out and emphasize the flavor characteristics of one’s local environment, a whiskey can become the unique essence of that place, distilled.
